For Kassie Sheldon, content marketing is critical in shaping the way Optus communicates with its business customers. As the Optus Business Content, Digital and Social Marketing Manager, Kassie is pivotal in driving the company's transformation to focus on putting customers at the centre of the content value strategy.
Kassie joined Optus Business in April 2012. "My primary responsibility is to lead the content, digital and social media go-to-market strategy for Optus Business" Kassie says. "I lead my team to focus on applying best-in-class thinking, reporting and analytics methodologies to align marketing initiatives to Optus' broader transformational business objectives."
Kassie joined Optus Business from IBM where she held a variety of roles, including IBM ANZ Social Business Program Manager and Marketing Communications Lead. During her stay with IBM she received four formal Global Best Practice Awards and 3 formal local best practice and impact awards for industry leading 360 degree marketing initiatives. Having commenced her career with Microsoft in the Product Marketing division, Kassie has also worked at Hill & Knowlton in Public Relations servicing blue-chip clients such as Coca-Cola and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Enlisted as an Optus Business Subject Matter Expert, Kassie often speaks at customer engagements and with 3rd parities such as ADMA (Association for Data-Driven Marketing and Advertising) on sharing best practice B2B content, digital and social marketing methodologies with other organisations.
