  • What happens next?

    We’ll contact you via text / email with details of your connection appointment. If we need to reschedule due to weather, we’ll let you know.

    If you are renting, make sure you have your landlord's approval before installation.

    Overhead connections to a granny flat or other building not attached to the main house are not standard installations, and may incur additional installation fees.

    If you require an Underground Cable Installation, this page will explain what you’ll need to do before your appointment.

  • Appointment Information

    A standard overhead cable installation usually takes 2-3 hours. It may involve running an overhead cable to your house and installing internal wiring / sockets. The technician will also activate your phone line (where applicable) and connect your Optus Cable modem.

    An English-speaking person aged 18+ must be present for the entire installation. 

    The technician will arrive in the following time slots:

    • Morning: 7.30am - 12pm
    • Afternoon: 12pm - 5pm

    The technician will contact you prior to arrival but will not come if they're unable to reach you.
