I am having trouble connecting my own WiFi Hotspot to the Optus mobile network so I can use my new Optus data plan SIM. I received no information with the SIM.
I switched provider. It worked fine with my previous provider who uses the Optus network. I am using it in the same location within sight of a tower where the Optus map shows great coverage for everything.
I have tried connecting to the APN connect and the APN connectLTE with PDP Type IPv4 and IPv4 Authentication CHAP.
My laptop shows only Limited connectivity. I cannot use a browser to access the Internet.
My Hotspot network compatibility is 4G LTE FDD: 1800, 2600 MHz with 100Mbps data download 4G LTE TDD: 2300 MHz with 81Mbps data download HSPA+ dual band 3G UMTS: 900, 2100 MHz with 42Mbps data download
Optus describes its 4G Plus network using LTE 700 / 1800 / 2100 m/ 2300 / 2600 MHz frequencies.
Why can I not connect? I have tried help from Optus support by phone and chat without success. This question has now also been formalised by message to Optus.
