I am considering the Optus 4G Plus wi-fi modem as an alternative to the NBN. Can anyone tell me what their experience is inside a large hosue? Will I need extenders? Is speed OK?

I have a Huawei B525 modem which I use when I am away in my caravan. At the moment I am in Bowen and achieve in access of 40mbps throughout the day. This can of course be different in other areas and would depend on the reception.
For a medium size house you may struggle with signal strength of the wifi. I would suggest instead of an extender I would go for a mesh system, a little more expensive, but would good you far better coverage. I have attached a Netgear Orbit router and satellite using the B525 and achieved good coverage.
