The countdown is on, just 50 days until the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019™ kicks off and we’re committed to taking the investment in women’s sport to a new level for Australian broadcasters when the tournament gets underway in June.

We know we're excited and recently had the massive honour of having the World Cup trophy visit us!

Australians can expect to see the most comprehensive production of a FIFA Women’s World Cup ever in this country. 40 out of the tournament’s 52 games will be exclusive, including all matches played by USA, China, Germany, England and NZ during the group stages.  Every Matildas match will be live on Optus Sport with coverage at the venue, in the crowd, and in our studio, plus preview and post-game analysis.

Over the whole tournament, there will be more than 100 live programs on Optus Sport, plus more than 1,000 pieces of original content, including the popular mini matches, news updates, feature stories and behind the scenes moments from France.

Original content: Profiling Matilda midfielder Chloe Logarzo
We’re producing a series of original feature stories that takes sports fans behind the scenes to tell the stories of each Matilda and how they made the national team.

Our first story features Sydney FC midfielder Chloe Logarzo as she embarks on a personal journey that will leave a legacy on Australian football forever.

We were also with Chloe and the Matildas as they unveiled their exclusive kit design in Melbourne with Nike - and in Paris.
