Try your SIM in another non Apple device and see if you can replicate this?
yes you did replicate it > this means your phone isn’t faulty, it’s either a fault on your end or the other.
nope it didn’t > then it’s possible your phone is faulty. Try a network settings reset first (sadly this wipes out saved wifi networks)... settings > general > reset > reset network settings
