Mobile Payments

Organisations that adopt mobile and Internet-based payment services can engage their customers more effectively, encourage greater spending and loyalty, and reduce costs. These services are also becoming more important to organisations that are turning to new digital channels to sell products and services.   The 2012 Optus Future of Business Report reveals that 23 per cent of organisations plan to offer mobile payments in the next few years, up from five per cent now. However, even with such strong forecast growth, Australia lags behind the rest of the world in introducing mobile payments. Why do you think Australia is lagging behind the rest of the world?
