You have exceeded the maximum number of concurrent streams. Playback is stopped.

Optus Sport app doesn't allow me to view 2 or more games, currently I am watching 1 live (start over), and one reply game.

I would imagine this would have issues on the last day of the season, but by then Optus probably will increase the bandwidth significantly to accormodate 2 or more games playing at the same time LIVE and when points are on the line... well i certainly hope so.

I am dissapointed that I cannot watch 2 games at the same time, I was able to watch last week saturday / monday morning, but today nope... and when 2 interesting games Tottenham vs Liverpool and Everton and Arsenal games, it is logical to view 2 games at the same time while going to work (i typically mute one audio), before I go to work, then spend a total of 4 hours which then will waste more of my time.

Re: You have exceeded the maximum number of concurrent streams. Playback is stopped.

How do you go about watching them? Are they both on your PC? Or 1 on the TV one on PC?

The reason why I ask is because Optus has specifically said that you can have up to 4 devices per subscription but only 1 can be used at a time. The exception to this is if you have a fetch device which allows you to have 2 streams running concurrently as long as 1 of those is the Fetch device.

I don't think it's a technical short fall causing your issue I believe it's the actual offer from Optus and them reinforcing it.

Re: You have exceeded the maximum number of concurrent streams. Playback is stopped.

Hi SamSam, they are on the same PC, in the same browser session, side by side.

I had no issues for over a year, and last week i did get this message for 1 or 2 times, but afterwards it was fine. This morning it was constant problems.

Doesn't make too much sense if they allow 4 devices, but doesn't allow it on the same PC, unless they are going off different servers. It is not a major issue if i can do something like that, but still a bit interesting why I am getting this error message recently.

Re: You have exceeded the maximum number of concurrent streams. Playback is stopped.

This is actually the first time I've seen this asked. Most of the time the wording says you can only stream from one device at a time but that's what you're doing. They don't say one stream per device which would rule you out so will be interesting to see the moderators response

Re: You have exceeded the maximum number of concurrent streams. Playback is stopped.

Hmm, I don't think this has been brought up at the in past @NexusQ!. I'm of the impression that the device limit (Fetch + one additional streaming device) is intended only for live broadcasts although I could be wrong. I'll raise this one with our content team and keep you updated via this thread.

Re: You have exceeded the maximum number of concurrent streams. Playback is stopped.

I am also experiencing this error message on optus sport. Every few minutes i will receive the error message despite only having one stream open on my computer, having closed the app on all other devices. I have cleared my browsing history and cookies and re-logged in on my browser and am still getting the error message. This is the 2nd week in a row this is happening to me. Any reason why this might be happening? Using chrome as my web browser

It's definitely abnormal, @Cinnyjc Smiley Sad

We'll need to take a look into what's going on, please raise this with us here so we can follow it up with you.

Also happening to me right now. Have checked all other devices and switched them off, yet still gives me this error. This is the first time i have experienced this message, however has been happening all night.

Re: You have exceeded the maximum number of concurrent streams. Playback is stopped.

Thanks for flagging the above, @Jack_C. Hmmm, that's definitely an odd one. Have you logged into your Optus Sport account on a desktop or PC to manually remove any surplus devices? If not, you can do this by heading to Setting (in the top right hand corner) > Devices.

In the interim, please take a minute to complete a fault report here so that our TV & Content team can take a look at the above and provide further insight.
