I have to give up this test. It has been > 60 hours and the breakdown has still not updated. I have minimized data usage (mostly email notification) for 3 days with the hope to have the most clean result. But that's enough and it doesn't matter anymore. Just listen to offline music to have a peace of mind.

I can only agree. Optus' business model or its technical proficiency means it says four hrs but in practice its anywhere between 15 minutes and 4 days. If you happen to go over your limit while waiting for an update then Optus will pocket additional revenue.
