Poor signal quality with ABC channels on Fetch

Hi there, 

 

we have always had poor signal during poor weather with ABC channels. Since installing Fetch we have no ABC, even in good weather. I have measured the signal strength and signal quality, and ABC channels have moderate strength but no quality. From reading other forums, the issue is possibly the aerial, but I rent and live in an apartment block so I can't get on the roof. 

 

All the TV hardware, cables etc are the same as before Fetch, so I don't think the cables are the issue. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would a booster improve quality? This is the only TV we have and we have not tried to record another channel.

Thank you for your response. The issue still exists. 

 

I had already read the page you linked to and tried most of that. Today I went and bought a boster, which made the situation worse. Now ABC is not even being detected when I scan for channels. 

 

Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in an apartment and I rent so I can't change the aerial on the roof.

Do your neighbours have the same problem?

The next suggested step would be to contact a TV or antenna specialist to check and optimise your setup. If they confirm there is external interference, you'll need to complete the online form on the ACMA website provided on the original troubleshooting link above.

i have the same issue.  Good signal strength on all channels but poor signal quality on abc.

 

i don’t know how a increase signal quality?

 

on Sunday in i re tuned and the abc was good but it’s poor again!!

That does sound pretty frustrating. If you've done all the mentioned troubleshooting have you had someone out to confirm there is no external interference?
