When I record shows invariably the standard of viewing is appallingly pixilated and the audio is of similar poor quality. I have been unable to find any trouble shooting help. Can anyone assist?
Digital recordings are and exact duplicate of the live feed.
Do you have pixelation just watching live TV?
Are you splitting the antenna into the box to other TVs etc around the house?
Try a single antenna lead into the Fetch box only.
Thanks for the response Peter.
There is rarely any pixilation or sound drop outs when we watch live TV. It can be so bad at time it's not even worth the challenge of watching an entire recording.
Is this FTA TV or the Fetch channels?
If its FTA TV then something quite strange is going on - as I said, the box makes a 100% (not 99.9%) copy of the live stream. If live looks ok and playback looks bad that's strange.
Try a test to look at a live broadcast. Hit record. Confirm live is ok. After 1 minute stop recording and go and look at the play back. Confirm it is different.
As a second test to look at a live broadcast. Hit record. Hit pause. Wait 30 seconds and hit play (you are now essentially looking at the recording) does the PQ and audio deteriorate?
