Optus Sport : How to Unsubscribe


Should you wish to cancel your Premium Optus Sport subscription, you will only be charged until the end of your monthly billing cycle (if it's not already included in your plan).

To cancel your Premium subscription signed up through the Optus Sport app, this can be done through the Apple App store or Google Play store. 

Google Play Store

  1. On an Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store

  2. Tap Menu > Subscriptions

  3. Tap the subscription to cancel

  4. Tap Cancel Subscription

  5. Follow onscreen instructions

Apple App Store

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store

  2. Tap Apple ID at the top of the screen

  3. Tap View Apple ID. You might need to authenticate your Apple ID

  4. Tap Subscriptions

  5. Tap the subscription that you want to manage

  6. Use the options to manage subscription. You can choose a different subscription offering or tap Cancel Subscription to cancel the subscription. If you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.


Alternatively, to cancel your Premium subscription signed up with an eligible plan, log into your My Account profile, navigate to the Entertainment tab and follow the prompts.

Important: Uninstalling an app will not automatically stop your subscription. You must cancel your subscription to end the subscription. If you uninstall the app without cancelling your subscription, you will still be charged. If you cancel a subscription with time remaining in that 30 day billing period, you will still have access to your subscription for the remainder of the month that you have paid for (regardless of when you cancel).

Hey there @Brighton-Boy, are you referring to a subscription through your Optus service directly or through the app store? 

Any modifications to a subscription should be made at least one business day prior to the subscription renewing or your billing cycle ending.
