When I watch matches Live on Optus Sport using the Fetch TV box that was supplied, usually the matches are streamed fine, at worst occasionally with a low resolution.
However, trying to watch games later via On Demand, during playback, almost always the match keeps pausing (buffering?) every 5 seconds, rendering it impossible to watch. But the app on the iPad allows me to watch without pausing, though occasionally crashes, maybe twice during a match.
I have checked internet connection, nobody else using the internet, used the traffic monitor on my modem (which isn't crap.. it's an Asus top of the line model), all my other devices are not having issues..
So what do I do? I get an 8Mbps connection down and 1Mbps up, ADSL 2+, with no NBN available for a year still..
Go to your fetch box settings and set the steaming at the lowest resolution.
Press the paw button on your remote>manage>settings>audio and video>video>change your display resolution to 720p
If it wasn't set to the lowest resolution this should help.
Thanks I'll try that.
It's a shame it doesn't auto-sense and reduce the resolution if throughput is slow. Live matches are usually ok at full 1080, but it's just the on-demand one's that aren't.
Has ANYONE been given a remedy for nthe constant pausing yet. I see plenty of posts and no one seems to jhave resoluition. EPL Sport is totally UNWATCHABLE with constnat pausing. Optus tech have not bothered to answer my posts . Bring back foxtel !!!!
Hi @England1 I can see we've responded to a number of your posts previously. If you're still encountering issues with your playback on demand I would have to advise speaking with our dedicated EPL tech team on 1800230158 to help optimise your service. If you've already done so please feel free to PM and fault reference or PR numbers you may have been provided.
