Thanks found that out when i had to sign up....It was bloody useless about 5 sec of program followed by 10 secs of buffering...looks like i'm stuffed for watching IPTV until i can get the NBN...although from what my friends are telling me that they were getting better results on ADSL2.
My dad has that, 4km+ from the exchange. But Optus gets congested 6pm through 11pm, so it gets worse. But you can still download a lot if you leave things running all day.
You can see whether it's congestion using Networx.
Install it, download something big and look how often it goes below 1.1mbs/139kB/s. That's where Netflix TV will konk out.
