Re: How to get wifi fetch box

They'll take calls but it will take a LONG time on hold.

Dial 133 937. Mon - Fri: 8am - 7pm (AEDT) Sat: 9am - 5pm (AEDT)

Don't press 1 and hold the line, you'll either be on hold and get through to someone or get the standard IVR to enter your service number and follow the prompts and press 3 to cancel. Times can vary from a few minutes to many hours.

Alternatively: Leave a message in the Optus Mobile App (If possible) or try Optus Twitter or Facebook sites.

As an alternative option you can buy a refurbished Fetch unit from Fetch DIrect for $280 on eBay. That is yours to own (otherwise the Optus one never is) (Note OPtus free package offer is only compatible with Optus Fetch units)

Re: How to get wifi fetch box

PS Apparently:

You can upgrade ($99 charge applies) to the Mighty if you re-contract to eligible home broadband plans. If you do, you have to return the first or second generation set-top box you currently have to Optus. You can also upgrade without recontracting by paying a $99 fee.

Which now that I read it makes no sense. Its either a $99 fee or a contract or both or neither. Typical Optus confusing fine print.
