FetchTV Changes

Will the optus entertainment pack be changing early next year (February 1st) as announced by FetchTV?

http://www.fetchtv.com.au/press-release/fetch-tv-unveils-new-and-improved-entertainment-pack

"As part of these changes, Fetch TV will no longer offer 6 channels - Fox Sports News, Discovery Home & Health, TLC, Animal Planet, Discovery Science, and Discovery Turbo."

Re: FetchTV Changes

Hi Slolux, no word at this stage in regards to the Optus entertainment pack, though we'll certainly communicate this to our customers as soon as & if anything does change.

Re: FetchTV Changes

Will be disappointing if they are as those channels are pretty much the only reason my partner and I got FetchTV.

Re: FetchTV Changes

Yes I started looking for other services as the 'changes' to the channels is going to be ridiculous. If this forum actually works and those channels that are going to be removed stay, then I'll stay with Optus. Those channels are all we watch 😞

Re: FetchTV Changes

Hey guys, just an update on this one. I can confirm that there will be some changes happening; we'll be sending a letter out to all customers currently subscribed to the Entertainment and / or Setanta pack to go through the changes etc. in detail - it's not taking effect until 1 Feb 2015, so quite some time away yet!

Re: FetchTV Changes

I can honestly say, bring it on!.

These new channels far exceed the old ones for my family, but others will not be satisifed. My wife is happy to be getting HGTV.

Go look at BBC, Scripps Networks and Universal web sites to see what we are getting. There is some real quality there.

Don't forget that also that in the Press Release...it stated "The 7 channels will be added to the Fetch TV Entertainment Pack at no extra cost, along with several additional specialist channels that will be announced in the coming weeks".

So who knows what we will get.

Re: FetchTV Changes

Will customers locked into contracts have the option to remove the Fetch Tv from their packages if they do not wish to use the new channels as other ISP's are offering? As stated above the only reason we got Fetch was for the channels at will no longer be provided.
