I have two issues.
1. My fetch box isn’t working anymore. I am getting the error “preparing system please wait”. I have tried the following:
- hard reset code
- changing power points
I turned on the tv to that error. There appears to be power as you can hear something within the fetch box as though something is spinning.
Unfortunately, after rather traumatic experiences with Optus customer service over the phone and live chat where no one got anything right for five weeks last year, I refuse to be talking to Optus over the phone or live chat anymore (until I am disconnecting the service). I simply refuse to waste any of my time waiting. Over successive calls over 5 weeks, I calculated I spent 10 hours waiting and taking to Optus. So, please please anyone from Optus who is replying, don’t get me to call you. I will happily give you my number and you can ring me.
Can someone please get in touch with me or send me a new fetch box? I don’t think fetch boxes are supposed to die that fast. It is only a year odd old.
2. Internet has slowed to a crawl over this year despite paying $20 extra for the max speed boost for NBN. Consistent speed tests have shown the speed to come up to
2MB. And on some days, it goes back to normal - somewhere closer to what I paid for.
Can I please get some consistency in service here?
