Hello, really appreciate your expertise 🙂
travelling interstate and wanting to know if i can take my fetch box with me and connect (im not telly addicted but is a good rainy day backup for the kids). Will use probably Netflix and Movie box.
A/ can i do that?
B/ whose data will i be using upon my login; ie my Optus data or the hosts data ?
Note that the hosts house is not an Optus account holder.
I would love to be able to use my account data and not my mobile data!!!
with thanks and have a lovely day!!
Solved! Solved: Go to Solution.
You could take your fetch box but you would be connecting to your hosts account. You can't use your home broadband account as that is only for your house
A way round could be purchasing a $60 per month wireless broadband plan which would give you 200gb per month.
if you consider that option rather than the fetch box I would consider buying a Chromecast dongle and casting Netflix etc from that. Cost around $50. You can download the apps to you smartphone and use this like a remote control. Misch easier than setting up your fetch box and you can use the Chromecast dongle at your home.
Oh thanks Dave, thats a perfect answer.
A Dongle was something i was thinking of, but mumma bear is somewhat guarded about divulging information - i dont even know if she has a smart phone or what her data plan is. its like pulling teeth lol.
So its a case of 'wait and see' for when i get there - your information is so valuable, thankyou again !
have the greatest of days Dave 🙂
