Fetch TV (recording free to air)

I need a PVR to record free to air TV. I have my own antenna and Optus NBN broadband. I'm thinking of buying a Fetch TV box from the classifieds and using it. Question: Do I need a Fetch TV subscription to record Free To Air channels with my own antenna?

Re: Fetch TV (recording free to air)

Hi John, you don't need a Yes TV by Fetch subscription to record FTA, you do, however, need to ensure you purchase stand alone Fetch hardware, not something originally provided by Optus. Optus provided Fetch hardware is owned by Optus and should not be sold externally. Yes TV by Fetch hardware requires specialist provisioning on our end, this can't be done on hardware you've got from another source though. Let me know if you need further clarification.

I’m part of the Yes Crowd team, employed by Optus to help run our online community. This guide explains how everything works on here and you should also check out our Community Guidelines.
