I'm having the exact same issue.
After several hours on the phone not talking to the correct department, finally got a hold of someone who had to "update something" and it'd take "24 hours" to be completed. We're now 48 hours along.
Did you call the NBN Activation Team on 1300 300 990. I just tried to get an update from them before and after 2 hours on hold I was disconnected.
thanks for your response, but it appears my experience has almost been exactly the same. I was cut off after an hour and half, so still no further on.
