I have been using my fetch to for approx 4 months now
i have a generation 2 system
and today I tried to turn it on but the screen remains blank
i ran ran through the fetch tv troubleshoot
And none of the solutions worked
The main light is blue, Internet light is red, and the other light is not turning on
i have checked that that everything is connected
I changed hdmi ports
then changed from hdmi cable to the red, yellow, white cables
i tried a reboot by turning turning it off and turning it back on again and waiting a few minutes
after a reboot it says preparing system please wait but after that it just remains blank with no audio or video

Have you tried a soft reset - https://community.optus.com.au/t5/TV-Entertainment-Knowledge-Base/Fetch-TV-Soft-Reset/ta-p/133753
Note a hard reset causes you to lose all of your recordings
Does the internet light remain red @thebigticket? Our Fetch TV tech support team would be best to investigate and organise new box if it is faulty. Please give us a ring on 133937 (options 4,2,2).
*** UPDATE SOLUTION OPTION FOR 2017-2018 ***
My Fetch Tv was working JUST fine and then I had an issue with it where the reset would not fix the blank screen problem, another thread here told me that by swapping the HDMI cable from say input 1 to input 2 would fix it.
However I now have to do this every second day or so!!! I did some research and found out it is some STUPID software tech used by the FETCH TV menu system. (As per below article).
To fix it for good (if you have this problem and to save ever changing cables or the issue again, simply purchase a HDMI cable splitter box!
I did from office works $24 (Kmart has cheaper ones but no remote control) and it works perfectly!
PC, fetch, Tv, Xbox all via the splitter now instead of directly into the amp / tv etc.
Hope it helps people searching for a reset / blank screen solution on fetch tv. Great concept, but the box does have many flaws. Hopefully they remove the software in a patch one day.
