Fetch TV and EXT Storage

I have an Optus Fetch TV also an external HD connected to it.

at the moment I have to disconnect the drive and connect it to my PC and copy the files. then reconnect it to the Fetch TV to play it

I'd like to know if there is a way to copy my recordings from my PC to the HD on the Fetch TV box? (directly over the network)

I can see the Fetch TV on my home network (as an STB) but i'm unable to browse to it

any help would be good

Re: Fetch TV and EXT Storage

Getting recordings off the Fetch box is sort of amazing. I think doing the reverse is fairly Herculean. Far easier to by a $80 media player and watch your videos that way?

Re: Fetch TV and EXT Storage

I do have a TV with USB inputs, I wanted to have a central device, for most things and was hoping the fetch box would do it.

just wanting to make things simple for my mother, who gets lost with changing inputs.

Re: Fetch TV and EXT Storage

After all this time they've yet to build a PVR that is affordable, easy to use and does all of the main things needed. The Fetch box is pretty close. It falls down with limited ad skipping and not easily being able to play your own files.

I believe the Fetch does do DLNA which could be what you're looking for.
