Re: Fetch Software Update Endeavour 3.14

Since the software update to Endeavour 3.14, the box is glitching at least once every two days and requiring a complete unplug reboot. Is this a common issue?

Re: Fetch Software Update Endeavour 3.14

Hey @IanBHS, that's not great to hear. Thanks for rebooting your device.

Your set top box may be talking some time adjusting to the recent software update. I would recommend performing a Soft Reset on your Fetch, this will essentially restart your device and clear any interruptions that may be causing delays.

Just in case you have not done so already, could you also please connect your Fetch via the Ethernet cable provided. Generally speaking, an Ethernet connection almost always provides both a stronger and more reliable streaming service.

Should you continue to have issues after this, please send through your service details to our 24/7 Messenger Teams on the Optus App and we will run some checks

Re: Fetch Software Update Endeavour 3.14

Hi @ DGLFC - Thanks for reaching out to us here and apologies for the issues you've had with the modem. Can you please confirm if you have tried to reset your modem and see if tha6t helps? To reset you just have to follow these instructions → Turn the back of your modem towards you. Tap and hold the Factory reset button for about 7 seconds using a sharp-pointed object (such as a paper clip). Wait while your modem restores the factory default settings.

If you’re still needing a hand, we recommend messaging us via the My Optus App. The team is available 24/7 and are ready to assist customers as quickly as possible.
If for some reason you’re unable to, if you have a social media account, please then Optus on Facebook or on Twitter with the details for further assistance mentioning you’re unable to use the My Optus app.

Re: Fetch Software Update Endeavour 3.14

I find my Gen 3 box needs a daily reboot because, after a few hours, the picture seems to drop frame every few seconds. It is particularly noticeable if the picture has a smooth pan sideways. I reported this direct to the Fetch TV support team because a) it's not specific to the Optus features b) Optus support do nothing to fix problems c) Fetch support are surprisingly quick to respond and listen to the issues, what the end user has tried (different resolution etc. in this case) and actively report issues to the development team.

It's a STB, not a modem.

Hey @mkioppl, thanks for getting in touch with us. Have you tried resetting your Fetch Box? A Hard reset might resolve this issue. Tina.

Re: Fetch Software Update Endeavour 3.14

Done a couple of soft resets. It pretends to load Endeavour (again), but it isn't there when it restarts.

Losing all my recordings from a hard reset is a major problem. If that has to happen it would be the third time I have lost everything after a software upgrade. Shouldn't you be able to do a software upgrade that doesn't destroy the box?
