Re: Fetch Channel Changes - 31st December 2019

This sucks!
I love the syfy channel!
Is there any hope for a lot of the programs in the future?

Re: Fetch Channel Changes - 31st December 2019

Hi 3zercrowd,

We share channel changes as we receive them from Fetch (they also generally appear as tiles on the STV as well).

May be an impact of Disney +

Re: Fetch Channel Changes - 31st December 2019

Well I have fetch for syfy and movies. The syfy is not on free to air.
Might be time to axe fetch. No need for it with no syfy.

Fewer and fewer reasons to keep Optus every day.

Re: Fetch Channel Changes - 31st December 2019

So in total we’ve lost just about all of the channels we originally subscribed to fetch for?

I understand these shows are available to watch on other channels, but you’re now charging us to watch these shows on free to air TV.

Are these channels being replaced with something better?

I’d predict you’re going to lose a lot of business if you can’t replace them with something half decent.

Re: Fetch Channel Changes - 31st December 2019

First and foremost, fetch is its own entity the inclusion of fetch was more about combating Foxtel and giving options to people. With the advent of streaming services and smart tv fetch and Foxtel iq are becoming increasingly irrelevant. The main problem with fetch is all the good channels are either being axed completely or becoming exclusive to Foxtel In effort to outdo competitor. Optus has no control over fetch programming the same as they have no control over Apple software.
