Hi,
Looking at the 200GB mobile broadband plan w/free Media Streaming included it is not clear if;
- Free streaming is only available for mobile devices or,
- Free streaming is available on the service itself, even if delivered via a 4G modem, providing it streams SD only (in the case of Netflix as an example)
If it is only for mobile devices how is Optus making the distinction?
Thanks.
Hey @bigev, I'm happy to offer a bit of advice.
You're looking at the month-month 200GB data SIM plan?
Mobile TV streaming is intended for use on mobile devices i.e. Mobile handsets and tablets with cellular.
We include mobile TV streaming at no additional cost on our 24 month & 12 month postpaid mobile plans as well as our 24-month Mobile broadband plans (with a tablet or dongle/modem.
If you'd like to add Mobile TV streaming to the 200GB month-month plan, you're looking at an additional $10.00 per month.
Keep in mind that Mobile TV streaming is suitable for one stream per service on mobile and tablet devices only. Mobile TV will be streamed up to 1.5Mbps in SD quality.
Thanks for this info @Dan_C.
That's not a problem 🙂
