Not sure how I measure bandwidth but I have done a speed test and I generally run between 25Mbps and 45 Mbps.
The problem occurs both live and recorded.
If I watch Optus Sport on my phone directly and don't chrome-cast there is no buffering and if I watch ABC i-view through the phone and chromecast there is no buffering.
I overlooked this originally because Dan_C was looking into it.
Is it simply due to Samsung TV not being supported?

I'm casting with no issue right now, Norwich vs Arsenal on demand replay and have tried others.

No, nothing has changed on the Optus Sport end. You mentioned it works fine without Chromecast. How many devices do you have connected to the WiFi?
From here I can only suggest logging a support case with the Optus Sport team.
