Stumped by bizarre routing issue

I have this very bizarre issue with my home network that crops up about once or twice a month that I have so far been unable to get to the bottom of. Hoping you guys can shed some light on it or at least point me in a direction to troubleshoot further.

What will happen is one system (it's only ever one) will suddenly stop having packets routed. Traceroute shows them dropping at the router. All other devices continue to work fine. It's not OS related (that I can see) it happens on Windows and Linux machines. DNS resolution still works fine. The only way to resolve the problem is by rebooting the router.

Re: Stumped by bizarre routing issue

Sounds security triggered? Does the router have any security options like that?

I always check if the IP address on the device isn't accidentally duplicating due to a bad DHCP setup or the the like.
