Good day Everyone.
First off I would like to thank every one for their great ideas and solutions to my problem, and to tell you what I did in the end to fix it. What I did on the weekend was I wired up the house with Lan ethernet points for all the equipment (tv comps etc) that we have on the internet, and I have kept the sagemcom as main modem, and have put my Netgear d7000 modem/router in retirement for now. I still stand by my earlier views about Optus, but I will just go with the flow for a peaceful household. Thanks once again for all the help.
