Optus.com.au looks more like there are problems with the back end than a fibre connectivity issue as the web server is serving up a few pages, but the main page is not the usual page.

The current page is not being served by their normal server. The other pages are run off different servers to the main optus.com.au so they are probably located elsewhere. Yescrowd for example is run from the US. So fibre break makes more sense.
