Ok, so my work is based in Hume region. Tuesday, my phone does not access any internet based apps unless connected to wifi. I go to the local store. They tell me the tower locally is subject to maintenance works and they are not sure when it will be completed, and it won’t affect my texts and calls. I’m patient. I wait. I can’t text. I can’t access emails or apps over internet without wifi. Thursday night, I think I’m going to Melbourne. I’ll beam off another tower and all will be ok. No. Now based melb cbd. No internet to phone except via wifi. Given I’m on the top plan, now 3 days carrying around a telephone only except when connected to wifi - I’m an unhappy customer paying for a service I’m not receiving
Hmm I find it unlikely that the service would be down in the CBD as well as the Hume area. You have mobile data switched on and your not on prepaid or something of that nature that has run out of data? Have you restarted the phone or removed and reinstalled the sim if that did nothing?
Edit: I forgot to ask if this is a new phone or service as I assume it has been working at some stage?
Hey @Fran928 - our team is located in the CBD too, we haven't experienced any downtime at this stage.
Sounds like this may be an issue with your handset or your SIM card.
Can you try popping your SIM card into another handset for me please?
