Echo on the line

When making calls over the last few weeks the recipients have been complaining of an echo on the line at their end. I don't hear this, but I have experienced a drop in quality compared to usual (I've been an Optus customer for 5 years). VOIP calls and messages seem to be working fine so it's a network rather than a handset problem - I have a Samsung S8, unlocked, phone, have had for the past year or so. Any advice on how to solve would be appreciated.

I would suggest trying another handset (swap sims if you need to) to test the theory the handset is not at fault.


VOIP and Messages would use different technologies.
