nbn fixed broadband

Hi, I just received a txt message from Optus that my "nbn fixed broadband service will be cancelled shortly". I don't know why they sent me this message it has nothing to do with payment as it is direct debit and account is paid promptly. I've been trying to contact them they're not answering any calls and messages are automated with no result.

Also when I login to my account I for some reason I can't see my nbn details.

Has anybody got the same message? And if so, do you know why the're cancelling this service? I am assuming they're making some adjustment due to COVIT-19.  But the message is warring as we're working from home now.

Any answer would be appreciated

Re: nbn fixed broadband

That is almost certainly a scam message because :

1) that is not how Optus would phrase it

2) Optus have ceased all disconnections this month because of COVID-19.

Also when I login to my account I for some reason I can't see my nbn details.

If this is a scam sms and you clicked on the link in the text to log into you account then you logged into a fake account and the scammers have just gotten your optus account details.
