modem delivery

Hi my order for NBN connection is 143467397A I have NBN connected today but when is new modem arriving, please advise ?

Great to see that you're now connected to the NBN!


Generally, the modem is delivered prior to any NBN installation taking place. 


However, as far as I know there have been some slight delays with modem deliveries due to COVID-19 impacts. For more information visit the COVID-19 page


Once your modem has been dispatched from the warehouse we'll let know via SMS/email. 


Please note that we wouldn't be charging your for the new service until your modem makes connection with our network and usage is identified. 


In the meantime, you can use your mobile as a hotspot modem, this will incure data usage however, This Article explains how 🙂


We’re giving all eligible Postpaid mobile customers a one-off add-on of 20GB bonus data per service which can be activated through the My Optus app  

anytime during the month of April and is valid for 30 days from activation
