I am hearing a continuous pulsating (stutter) audio on my phone handset when I wish to make a call
I am able to receive incoming calls but unable make outgoing calls !
I have no voice message icon
Would appreciate help in hearing the old fashioned continuous dial tone again !
Even though you are not using voicemail try dialling *96 to see if there is a message as that stuttered tone sure sounds like voicemail, message bank or whatever they call it these days. Incidentally it should not affect outgoing calls so the other post mentioning it could be a fault might be on the money.
Hello Esteemed Contributor,
It worked - I had 3 voice messages that I was not aware of, and which did not show up on the handset.
I even tried a spare modem but without success.
I hope I have now rectified that problem for the future !
Many thanks for your help.
No Problem, NBN is one learning experience, so just remember all tips for future use. Mine's going great, it's also kinda weird but I had a conversation with a OPTUS Tech the other day he said if you live near Railway Tracks you will get distortion on Fiber to Curb, due to the tracks vibration and noise travel.
Each different connection is having a vast load of different problems, as why we exist as techs, he stated......
