What should I do about frequent drop outs

Our internet speeds are adequate, however, we get line drop outs of 2 to 3 minutes duration 5 to 10 times a day. This is a PITA especially when using the phone.

 

I have noticed that when the dropouts occur our IP is changed.

I finally got through to a human being at Optus support. He admitted that there was a large number of drop outs each day for our service. He put through a request to NBN to investigate which apparently they have commenced and for a tech to come out late next week.
