Trace Route Issues

I'm at a loss as to who to turn to with this, so I figured I'd reach out to the Optus Yes Crowd.

There’s actually no problem with my service/connection. I’m getting great 20mbps Upload speeds and 40mbps Download speeds according to my Optus iPhone app.

The issue is that when attempting to upload large files to my web server located in the USA, via SFTP, what should take a couple of minutes is taking hours and hours. When running a trace route the results show packet loss happening between Optus and Singtel.

Uploading even larger files to YouTube via my web browser only takes minutes, so it’s not my connection.

And the problem isn’t with the web server as a friend in the USA was able to FTP the same file I was attempting to upload in two minutes.

My Web Host in the USA (IONOS) say the issue needs to be raised with my ISP (Optus). Optus said it was an NBN issue. NBN technician came up and replaced a few connectors/splitters... But the packet loss issue still persists.

I'm no expert in this area, but the above traceroute data does seem to indicate that the packet loss issues are happening between Optus and Singtel right?

That's what is looks like to me also. If the problem is outside Australia I don't see how Optus can claim its an NBN problem.
