I just signed the contract for broadband service. The NBN technicien had been scheduled to visit on 4 April, but he called me on the 2nd and postponed the installation to 2 May. That’s to say, I need to wait for almost a month...
Meanwhile I received a reminder from the App MyOptus, it seems I will pay the bill soon because the service will be activated automatically and billing will begin within 5 working days of the NBN connection date.
I am not sure if this NBN connection date refers to the previously appointment date, or the updated date( one month later).
Optus can't bill you for a non existent service. Wait for the bill (Optus won't do anything before that) and confirm the charge. Contact Optus and request it be recreditted as the NBN is not due for another month.
