Sagemcom F@ST 5366 TN is not working.

We just received a new replacement modem Sagemcom Fast 5366 TN, and we are trying to set it up.    We have followed the instructions in Modem User Guide and got stuck at step 2a, as there is no WAN and internet steady lights. Instead, the wifi light is blinking 1-5 times and all the lights at the front blink 1-4 times!  Sometimes, the power light is lit steadily for a few seconds and it goes again.  Does anybody help?  The four lights on NBN box is steadily lit and when we connect the ethernet red connector directly between the box and our computer we can connect to the internet.

Weird question have you called them up and registered it? Sounds similar to an issue I had once... You gotta basically register the Mac Address.

Yes, I did and  after 1 week, 2 brand-new modem 5336, after hours of messaging the technical support operators, and false hope of case manager's phone calls, I still do not have internet connection. What a waste of time and effort!
