Sagem f@st 3864 - convert from ADSL to NBN FTTP

xfixiate

My flatmate has just moved rentals -from an ADSL house to NBN.

NBN has been connected here before.

We've plugged in the modem, DSL on the f@st modem is flashing, NBN modem is on and theres an optical connection, red cable all connected, but no data.

Do I need to update the 3864 firmware for FTTP?

Hey @xfixiate, it's quite possible you'll need a new modem as the ADSL/NBN hybrid one you've got now may have been preloaded with the FTTN firmware instead of FTTP. Are you the account holder or is it under your flatmate's name? If you can PM me with your address I'll take a look.

Yeha thats why I thought modem would need to get flashed again.

Modem seems to be set up for it though (as in the menus).

PM sent... if I can figure out how to...
