For 24/7 support message our team of experts via the My Optus app.
Is this needed if I'm using FTTB/FTTN NBN? I don't seem to have these credentials in the box that came with the modem or in my email from Optus. I'm stuck with a solid DSL light and flickering internet light on my modem but no internet.

That's what the animated guide says, and even shows me the exact same ADSL2+ screen, even though it should be VDSL
@basilrakawi, these days the modem should actually come preprovisioned with your Optusnet details. It looks to me like there's something going on in the back end. You're more then welcome to send us a private message with your account details.
I'll need your full name, DOB and account number. We'll go from there.
Look forward to hearing back.
Thanks. Someone rang me from Australia and found the issue - something to do with a 'field' that was missing when the request to NBN was filed / submitted - maybe from a member of the 'activation' team.
Within 20mins talking to this guy - things started working within the next hour. This makes me sad and happy- the ratio of support hours expended to resolve the problem (overseas agent vs local agent) is like 8 to 1. For every 8mins expended - talking and being on-hold with an overseas agent (India/Philippines) it would have been only 1 minute for a local effort to 'sort' it out.
So sad that in the economic interest of cutting cost, more costs (a 2nd modem, NBN technician call out, etc) had to be incurred.
