Ongoing intermittent internet (FTTN) drop outs ahhhh.

Having experienced drops outs for months on Fetch it is now unbearable working from home on the laptop using Skype etc.  Are these Sagemcom Gateway F@ST 3864V3 AC  intermittently  faulty or are the Optus gateways dropping out and being reset all the time as a "fix" ?

The Sagemcon Diagnostics show etho0 Connection is pass and xDSL is PASS but both Ping Default gateway and Primary DNS are FAIL during the drop outs.

Re: Ongoing intermittent internet (FTTN) drop outs ahhhh.

Hey @Barkss,

Thanks for reaching out, from what you have discribed this looks like a connection issues, as opposed to a Wi-Fi signal issue.  . I’d suggest reaching out to our Messaging team so we can check it out.

If you are connected over Wi-Fi the below steps, may improve your connection

  1. Try switching between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi bands. Note, you will need a Dual Band modem
  2. Try re-positioning your modem. If possible, the higher the better and away from obstructions. Dense material such as concrete or solid brick walls may interfere with your WiFi signal

OK will try to get help from your messaging team.

Problem happens with WiFi on both bands and direct ethernet connection to modem.

Not so on phone port.
