No NBN coverage

Why isn't Optus offering NBN coverage to my premises, while other service providers are doing so? I'm living in Springvale VIC.

Re: No NBN coverage

Joining the NBN is not dependent on your ISP. One of the great things about the NBN is any ISP can use the NBN to connect to your house. However its likely your house is not yet NBN ready (despite your suburb being declared so)

NBNCo recently changed its approach to HFC cable connections (which you are). Homes connected to Telstra HFC (which is now NBN HFC) will be connected immeadiately. Homes connected to Optus HFC (or not connected at all) will be connected later when the NBNCo comes back and connects all those homes to the Telstra HFC in one go (1-6 months)

But if any ISP is saying they can connect you to the NBN then by definiton all ISPs can connect you to the NBN (but I suspect none can ATM)

Regards
