sounds like an on going issue. I would of thought that things get better with NBN, does your neighbours experience the same drop out issues, especially after rain?
There are 4 main areas of fault. From the exchange to your house, your house internal cabling to the wall socket, from the socket to your modem and from the modem to your devices. How are you connected from the modem to your devices. Have the issue improves after having your place rewired?
The first fault is optus/nbn's to resolve, the last 3 are yours(except for the modem). Have you trouble shoot the modem to devices path with other computer/phones etc?
This is an ongoing issue. This is not a rural area - I am 10 min from the airport and 20 min from the Perth CBD. Most of my neighbours are retired and the internet is not something that they use a lot. Except for one who I will ask tomorrow or as soon as I can. What’s brought this issue to a head is that I now work full time from home in an industrial design capacity. I need to transfer larger CAD files and try to attempt Go To Meeting type engagements with clients. Needless to say, how unprofessional it looks when you are half way through a design review when all contact is lost. I will be phoning Optus again tomorrow and escalating the issue. AGAIN. Sometimes struggle simply to get these replies up. Its not a new thing and frustrated that its taken so long to get resolved.
Its been stable for the last hour (now 9pm local time)- this is the ISP monitor report from 7pm to 8pm tonight. Not to bad by averages.

Is the ISP outage report running from your computer or is it from the Modem's log? I would also recommend you look into a backup internet, eg 4G modem if it is a business critical. Any luck with the Optus esculation?
