My NBN installed some weeks ago has been faulty. I tried changing the ethernet cable and at first that did good. But the modem or the line must be faulty, there are drop outs of connection, and the internet light on the modem is then not on. Restarting it helps. Using the on off button.
Do I need a new modem or is there a line fault?

what technology was used?
can you define “a drop out”?
- internet light goes off
- Sync light flashing
- wifi not working?
