I was just wondering if there is such a thing as an "NBN Home Connect Champion"? I have recently received an SMS (from OPTUSMSG) and a phone call a few minutes later checking up on our NBN connection and status.
Is this the norm?
Sounds like its part of: https://yescrowd.optus.com.au/t5/NBN/Optus-creates-concierge-NBN-experience/td-p/569087
How else would they contact you - secure pigeon with retna scanning?
Down in Tassie at the 3 capes walk at the moment. Coincidentally pigeons were the only method of communication with the island lighthouse. About 2 out of 3 got through due to Eagles etc. Hopefully Optus would employ some sort of escort Hawks of they went that way.
FWIW there's no problem with any company providing information updates or even self promotion via SMS, email etc. IMO Problems start when Optus uses easily exploitable methods to try start two way comunications.
Optus could create a secure online confirmation process but so far hasn't.
I love that you're still checking in to see what's happening on Yes Crowd even whilst on holidays down in Tassie, @petergdownload!
