I recently signed up with Optus NBN and I'm starting to wonder if that was a mistake. After the NBN technician finished up everything was supposed to be working, however due to pending "work orders" that I had only just been informed of, there's some type of delay with activating the service. Is this routine or is the NBN account usually activated after the NBN installation is complete? I thought there was an NBN expert assigned to new accounts to make sure this process and we smooth?
What NBN technology do you have? Has the NBN only just become available in your area?
Its possible the can be delays that either Optus or NBNCo introduce after an initial install. You're correct there should be a 'concierge' following this all up for you and letting you know exactly what is happening. Seems a bit hit or miss in whether you get one or not. For now you will need to chase this up yourself (with Optus). See if you can't find an activation date.
