NBN Activation problems

Order placed 25 May, NCD and modem installed 21 June. NBN tech has been out twice since (last visit yesterday 31 July) and says no problem there.  Continually promised activation of service within 24 to 48 hours but still no activation.  Does anyone think that there is any chance of Optus doing the activation. We have been Optus customer for 20 years but now thinking we may have to cancel the order and go with some other provider.  The big problem is that we cannot find out why Optus can't or won"t activate the service and we have been told not to go on chat again unless its for a different issue despite our chats only being about weekly and always being polite and not demanding.

Some of the lights on the NCD are not green?

Connection is FTTC. All lights on NCD blue and checked by tech.  LAN light on NCD blinks every so often and Internet light on modem occasionally comes on but there is no internet. NBN Tech checked with laptop and also his mobile phone but could not get internet either. Service had not been activated.

Have you tried plugging a laptop/PC directly into the NCD and rebooting the PC? (i.e. unplug the Optus modem completely)

Have just tried. Network says "Internet access" but no pages can be loaded in browser  asking for Optus wifi modem then it says "no internet access". This then repeats, just dropping in and out.

That's alarming that you're still waiting for your service to be activated.

Do you have a fault ticket number that we can try to follow up?

Continuing to receive updates on this one and it sounds like there has been progress and you've requested for the number to be ported across which can take up to 7 working days.
