Hello, I've just realised that the Chinese Government has routed my internet access through one of their mainland servers. This is the only reason I can think of to explain the terrible service I'm getting. I get it, this is a First World Problem, but we allegedly live in the first world so why not? I'd like to think that in a relatively advanced country like Australia we'd have better internet speeds than Afghanistan, but apparently not. I'd like to ask why the service is so terrible? Is it because we pay more for the internet than most developed nations? Is it because we're actually getting spied on regularly and a state actor is using up all of the bandwidth? Or is it because the service is terrible and there's no accountability so the companies we throw money at don't care? Again, First World Problem for an overpriced and hopeless First World service.
