We got connected to nbn fttn today but are getting booted off every few minutes, even with the Ethernet cable in place. We’re using the Optus supplied modem. My son needs the net for university so I’d be grateful for any ideas.

Sadly it’s more than likely a line issue to the node and you’ll be required to call support to instigate an investigation..
Just in case there’s a local issue, have you by chance checked the Optus network service-status page? Just in case there’s a local issue.

I agree and investigation will most likely need to be raised with Tech Support if no reported issues show in your area.
Jump into 24/7 Live Chat with Tech Support and they can open a fault case for investigation. It may take a few days but you'll get SMS notifications as updates come in.

I’ve just checked and no outages so I’ll jump on chat to raise a ticket. So odd as was working ok for a few hours. Sigh!
