FTTN help

I need help Optus keep stuffing me around I STILL haven't received a sagecom NBN modem so I have gone out and bought a D-Link DSL-2885A . I'm not worried about not having a phone I would just like the internet to work to my understanding I just need to plug it in and it should work?? Or is there some set up I need to do. any help would be appreciated

Well I suppose the next problem is I dont have a username or a password

Settings wise I don't think it makes much of a difference. But the big thing is the username and password. Without that, you won't be going anywhere. It's not as straight forward as just plug and play unfortunately. Chat with Optus and they'll give you those details - http://yesopt.us/chat2us

 

BTW, if they haven't sent your modem, there's a chance your service won't be active on their end anyway so this might not work but fingers crossed it does
